Coyuca Lagoon
WELCOME TO A PEICE OF PARADISE
The lagoon at Coyuca finds its exit by the river of the same name, still maintains the charm that has made it famous for longer than anyone can remember; to this day the fishermen in their traditional craft called cayucos, can be seen going out to sea seeking its bounty and spreading wide in the air their nets, with a patience which has been taught to them through time. After all the action of Acapulco, it is a most relaxing experience to take a trip through the lagoon, in one of the launches for 15 to 20 passingers, stopping by the sand bar in the middle of the mangrove swamps full of nesting storks and over 250 other species of birds. Coyuca Lagoon is also the place to practice fresh water sports; you'll find many clubs along the shoreline. While at the lagoon spend some time exploring and try the "cuatete" broth while you enjoy wondrous sunset. It is said by those who travel the world that they are the most spectacular and most divine they have ever seen. They also say, that when the sun reaches the horizon of the ocean, the sky turns a reddish color because it is blushing with the contact, as if a kiss, between the ocean and the sun king. Well that's what they say anyhow...
