This vast beach facing the open ocean is to be found next to the International Airport and extends from Playa Diamante to Bara Vieja. Unlike the tranquil beaches of the Grand Meigas Resort be careful if you decide to swim, the waves come in very strong to the point of being dangerous for a non-experienced swimmer, however it is not uncommon to find plenty of action with plenty of boards entering the ocean a perfect place for surfing. There are several Hotels along this beach one of which housed the Miss Universe Contest several years back.
